When challenge, loss, conflict or change arises what do you do? How do you navigate?
I'll be honest, it's been a wild Summer. In all.the.ways.
The question that I've been asked again and again has gone something like this..."With so much happening in the world, and in your life, how do you manage it all?"
“If you feel a sense of social responsibility, first of all keep working on yourself. Being peaceful yourself is the first step if you want to live in a peaceful universe.”
What it really comes back to is what I call my Morning Alignment Practice (M.A.P.) The anchor of a constant sacred ritual that I show up for when it's smooth sailing and most importantly when it's not.
It's not only integral to who I am and how I move through the world. I dare say that morning meditation holds the key to transforming ourselves and the world.

To be honest maintaining a consistent practice, is something I struggled with for years. I wish someone could have taken me by the hand and illuminated me how magical my view of life could be and how much more resilient I could become!
It doesn't mean I bypass my feelings when a friend of 20 years passes away. It actually means the opposite, I allow a place at the table (and in the grocery store) for my tears. I feel my tears in public are no longer something to be ashamed of rather a way to illustrate the multi-faceted aspects of what it is to be authentic in each moment and to be truly human.
It also means that I open and turn towards whatever occurs in this wild a wonderful life with curiosity. I make peace with things that have occurred and let go of the old that is no longer serving me. So that I can grow and heal. It's from a place of deep healing in ourselves that we can be of the most service to the world.
Forgiving and letting go, doesn't make what someone else did or didn't do right. We're simply changing the meaning and releasing the weight of past circumstances to make space for something brand new to grow.
This is something that we can cultivate from our Morning Alignment Practice because we can become a witness to who we are and the thoughts and ideas that frame our lives.
We can choose what lens we look through, we can see how life happens for us rather than to us and that's what life is all about!
Each time we heal ourselves, we help to heal the world. As we take that courageous journey inwards, we heal which is an important aspect of raising our vibration.
